e-Swecha is a free software project started by India’s Free Software Movement. It’s aim is to develop a free Operating System for modern Engineering students. “e-Swecha is a fruit of tree of freedom sowed by the Free Software Movement”.

More than 700 Engineering Students are contributing their programming effort for this project. They are re-engineering the existing OS and programming the new things for the latest requirements for students of Engineering Education. e-Swecha is available as Live CD and installable CD.
